PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Feb. 11, 2013) – Rutgers wrestling redshirt junior Vincent Dellefave (Toms River, N.J.) and redshirt freshman Billy Smith (Wantage, N.J.) shared this week’s EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors following the Scarlet Knights 18-16 win over No. 14 Bloomsburg.

At 133 pounds, Dellefave downed No. 11 Nick Wilcox of the Huskies with a takedown with 10 seconds remaining in the final period, earning the 3-2 decision. His victory marked his ninth-straight and gave Rutgers the lead in the match.

Smith, wrestling at HWT, knocked off No. 16 Justin Grant of Bloomsburg with a 5-3 decision two bouts prior to Dellefave to keep the Scarlet Knights’ surge going. Smith holds a 16-2 dual record this season, the most wins on the team.
