December-28-05 Adamcsik Wins 141lb Title at Wilkes Open
WILKES-BARRE, PA - Junior Steve Adamcsik (Chester, NJ) and freshman Mike Whalen (Lake Hiawatha, NJ) both made the finals of their respective weight classes as they and the Rutgers University wrestling team competed at the 73rd Annual Wilkes Open on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

December-11-05 Rutgers Wrestling Tops Maryland, 23-13
COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Rutgers University wrestling team earned its first dual meet win of the season on Saturday when it defeated the Maryland Terrapins, 23-13. The Scarlet Knights won six of 10 decisions during the meet, highlighted by a 10-2 victory by senior captain Rudy Medini and a pin by freshman heavyweight Mike D'Amico.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers University wrestling team has inked four New Jersey standouts to headline the recruiting class for the 2006-2007 season head coach John Sacchi announced on Tuesday. Highlighting the class is a two-time Eastern National Champion and four grapplers who are ranked in the top-five in New Jersey in their respective weight classes.

November-28-05 Rutgers Wrestling Falls to Lehigh in EIWA Opener
BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rutgers University wrestling team opened its EIWA schedule on Sunday with a 36-3 loss at the hands of the No. 8 Mountain Hawks of Lehigh. Rutgers senior captain Rudy Medini (Colonia, NJ) earned the lone Scarlet Knights victory on the day at the 184-pound class with a 4-1 decision over Ben Bishop.

November-20-05 Rutgers Wrestling Finishes Third at Navy Classic
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Rutgers University wrestling team continued its season on Saturday with a third-place showing at the eight-team Navy Classic in Annapolis, MD. The Scarlet Knights finished with 76 points overall, just behind second place finisher West Virginia.

November-14-05 Rutgers Wrestling Opens Season With Sixth-Place Finish at Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase
BROCKPORT, NY – The Rutgers University wrestling team opened its 2005-2006 season with a sixth-place finish at the SUNY Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase Classic. The Scarlet Knights finished with 85 points in the 11-team tournament, on Saturday, Nov. 12.
