September-06-07 Rutgers Wrestling to Host 2007 Scarlet Knights Coaches Clinic
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling staff will host the 2007 Scarlet Knights Clinic on Sunday, Oct. 21 for all interested coaches, including youth and high school. The clinic will include instruction on different coaching techniques and strategies, and will also offer participants the opportunity to get to know the RU staff.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Former Rutgers wrestling coach John Sacchi has been named an honorary lifetime member of the National Wrestling Coaches Association by a unanimous vote of its board members. Sacchi achieved an astonishing 447-162-9 career record mentoring on the mat, making him the second winningest coach in college wrestling at any level with regard to dual victories.

August-16-07 Rutgers Wrestling Announces 2007-08 Schedule
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - The Rutgers University Wrestling team released its schedule for the 2007-08 season, first-year head coach Scott Goodale announced. For the eighth consecutive year, the Scarlet Knights will begin the season at the Oklahoma-Brockport Gold Tournament in Brockport, N.Y. Matches are scheduled to begin on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m.

AKRON, Ohio - Rutgers wrestlers Steve Adamcsik (Chester, N.J.), Jack Barrett (Metuchen, N.J.), and Mike Whalen (Lake Hiawatha, N.J.) competed in the ASICS Men's FILA Cadet & University National Championships April 20-22 at the Athletics Field House on the campus of the University of Akron.

April-27-07 Rutgers Wrestling Announces 2006-07 Award Winners
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling team announced its 2006-07 award winners at its banquet on April 17. Freshman Chris Norrell (Phillipsburg, N.J.) was the winner of the Wilfred E. Cann Most Inspirational Award, while sophomore Jack Barrett (Metuchen, N.J.) won the Nist Sachsel Award. The final award winner was junior Mike Whalen (Lake Hiawatha, N.J.) who was named the Ted Petty Most Valuable Wrestler.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Rutgers wrestling team concluded its season at the 2007 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships on Saturday at Case Gym on the campus of East Stroudsburg University.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Junior Mike Whalen (Lake Hiawatha, N.J.) will continue his pursuit towards a berth in the NCAA Championships at 174 pounds at the 2007 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships on Saturday, March 3. Whalen is the lone Scarlet Knight still alive in the tournament, as Rutgers sits 11th in the team standings with 19.5 points, with Columbia leading all squads with 112.5 points.
