NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Rutgers University wrestling team used its senior leadership to register a 23-12 victory over the University of Maryland on Saturday night at the College Avenue Gymnasium. The Scarlet Knights evened their record at 1-1 in dual action, while the Terrapins fell to 0-1 on the season. The victory is the third-straight for Rutgers over Maryland.

BROCKPORT, NY – The Rutgers University wrestling team opened the 2004-05 season with an eighth-place showing at the SUNY Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase Classic. The Scarlet Knights finished with 52.0 points in the 11-school tournament, one point behind Buffalo.

Seniors Andy Roy (Wall, NJ), Chris Ressa (Andover, NJ) and John Foscolo (South Plainfield, NJ) and sophomores Ramel Meekins (Westwood, NJ) and Dan Hilt (Manalapan, NJ) have each been ranked near the top of their respective weight classes.
