January-19-08 Rutgers Goes 2-0 in Home Conference Tri-Meet
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling program, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, defeated conference opponents Brown and Franklin & Marshall to go 2-0 in a home conference tri-meet on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the College Ave. Gym. Brown and Franklin & Marshall kicked off the tri-meet with the Bears winning 28-13. Rutgers (6-5, 4-2 in conference) then pulled out a 26-9 win over Brown (3-4, 1-2) and followed that up with a 31-10 win over Franklin & Marshall (3-6, 0-5).

January-13-08 Rutgers Wrestling Competes in Tri-meet
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, went 1-1 in matches against Army and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) on Sunday afternoon at Christl Arena in West Point, N.Y. RU (4-5, 2-2) pulled out a 21-12 victory over USMMA (5-4) before falling 27-10 to Army (7-4, 4-1). Army defeated USMMA 38-3 to win the tri-meet.

January-10-08 Rutgers Wrestling Defeats East Stroudsburg 24-12
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, defeated EIWA conference foe East Stroudsburg 24-12 Thursday night at the College Ave. Gym in New Brunswick, N.J. The Scarlet Knights (3-4, 2-1) have won two in a row and three of their last four after starting the season 0-3. ESU (1-7, 1-2) dropped its seventh match of the season.

January-05-08 Rutgers Defeats EIWA Opponent Princeton 33-12
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling program, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, defeated EIWA conference opponent Princeton 33-12 Saturday afternoon at Dillon Gym in Princeton, N.J. Rutgers picked up its first conference win of the season, improving to 2-4, 1-1 on the season, while Princeton fell to 0-4, 0-1 in the EIWA.

January-04-08 Rutgers Wrestling Goes 1-1 in Home Doubleheader
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, went 1-1 in non-conference action in a home doubleheader Friday at the College Ave. Gym, defeating Wagner 42-0 before falling to Lock Haven 22-16. Lock Haven went 2-0 in the three-team meet to improve to 5-1, while the Scarlet Knights are now 1-4. Wagner went 0-2 to fall to 0-6-1.

January-02-08 Rutgers Wrestling Competes in Wilkes Open
WILKES BARRE, PA. – Several members of the Rutgers wrestling program, under the guidance of first-year head coach Scott Goodale, competed unattached in the Wilkes Open on Dec. 28, 2007, in Wilkes Barre, Pa. The Scarlet Knights were led by junior Matt Pletcher (Eastampton, N.J.) who finished first in the 165-pound weight class, defeating University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown's Kyle Keane 3-0 in the championship.

December-19-07 Adamcsik Moves Up to No. 14
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers redshirt senior Steve Adamcsik (Chester, N.J.) moved from No. 16 to No. 14 in the 141-pound weight class in the most recent InterMat/NWCA/NWMA Division I Individual Rankings. The poll, a collaborative effort by InterMat, the National Wrestling Media Association (NWMA) and the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), ranks the top 20 wrestlers in each weight class.

December-11-07 Adamcsik Moves Up to No. 16

December-08-07 Rutgers Wrestling Falls at No. 23 Maryland
COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The Rutgers wrestling team, under the guidance of first-year coach Scott Goodale, fell to No. 23 Maryland 39-4 in College Park, Md., on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Scarlet Knights fell to 0-3, 0-1 in the EIWA, while Maryland improved to 7-3.

December-07-07 Rutgers Recruiting Class Ranked No. 10 by WIN Magazine
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The first recruiting class for Rutgers wrestling coach Scott Goodale was ranked No. 10 by WIN Magazine. The group includes Scott Winston (Jackson, N.J.), the No. 2 senior recruit by InterMat, Trevor Melde (Wayne, N.J.), the No. 17 overall recruit by InterMat, Daniel Rinaldi (Lodi, N.J.), ranked No. 18 at 171-pounds by USA Wrestling, and Jesse Boyden (Kenilworth, N.J.) a two-time New Jersey State Place winner at 197-pounds.
