HARRISONBURG, VA – The Rutgers volleyball team (2-4) had its two-match winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to James Madison in the final game of the JMU/Hampton Inn Invitational. Game scores were 30-28, 30-25 and 30-26.
The Scarlet Knights were led by Dawn Christjaener (Huntington Beach, CA) and Shayla Bush (Spokane, WA), who were both chosen to the All-Tournament team. Christjaener had 14 kills while Bush added 10 kills and 13 digs.
The Scarlet Knights return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 9 when they travel to Hofstra for a 5:00 p.m. match. RU will make its home debut when it hosts Delaware, St. Peter’s and George Washington at the Clarion Suites Invitational next weekend. On Friday, Sept. 12, the Knights will face Delaware at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 13, they will return to the court at 1:00 p.m. to play St. Peter’s and at 7:00 p.m. to meet George Washington.
