Nunner, a transfer from Westfalishe Wilhelms Universitat in Muenster, was one of the leaders in Rutgers 4-0 performance at the George Washington Invitational this past weekend. Nunner recorded one double-double during the tournament, with 14 kills and 10 digs against Liberty, while also posting a career-high 18 kills against the host Colonials. She also had a career-best five block assists against George Washington.
For the season, Nunner is second on the Scarlet Knights in kills per game, with 4.05, and in hitting percentage (.325). She is also fifth in digs per game, at 1.95, and fourth in blocks per game, with .055.
The Scarlet Knights will return to action this weekend at the Temple Invitational. The Scarlet Knights will face New Hampshire on Friday, Sept. 13, at 6:00 p.m., followed by two matches on Saturday, Sept. 14, against St. Peter’s at 2:00 p.m., and Temple at 4:00 p.m.
