Junior transfer Sandra Nunner (Muenster, Germany) led the way by recording the second double-double of her career, with 14 kills and 10 digs, with a hitting percentage of .480. She also added three service aces and three block assists.
Junior Shayla Bush (Spokane, WA) narrowly missed her third double-double of the season, collecting 10 kills and nine digs. Senior Lauren Venarchik (West Chester, PA) had 12 kills at a .545 hitting percentage, while sophomore Dawn Christjaener (Huntington Beach, CA) posted double-digit digs for the third consecutive match, with 10. Senior co-captain Pualani Tuyay (San Diego, CA) contributed 35 assists, six digs and four kills.
Liberty was held to a .029 hitting percentage, while RU had a percentage of .318.
Rutgers will return to action with two more matches at the George Washington Invitational tomorrow, Saturday, September 7. The Scarlet Knights will face Radford at 1:00 p.m., followed by a match with the host Colonials at 5:00 p.m.
