  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. Werneke on Anderson: “Micaela brings in some size at 6’1”. She comes in from California and has been a go-to player on her high school and club teams, as she has been in those critical moments where she can take big swings. We look at her as a six-rotation player who adds some power and size to her position. We’re expecting big things out of her.”

Dulce Duran, Middle Blocker/Right Side, 6-0

Madrigal and Juan C. Duran … Born on Sept. 4, 1994.

Werneke on Duran: “Dulce is an athlete. She has some experience to gain, but she is very, very athletic and very quick. We see her being able to play multiple positions. She’s going to come in having the most experience for her as middle, but we’re not going to limit her to just that. She is a very cerebral, very intelligent player-- she’s just a sponge.”

    Alyssa Ensminger, Defensive Specialist, 5-5

Werneke on Ensminger: “Alyssa is a bulldog-- she hates losing more than she likes winning. She is one of those ultra-competitive, get-in-your-face, fiery type of player. In her position of libero, that’s what she needs. She brings a little bit of that edge, the chip on her shoulder, but also confidence knowing she’s good, because she has put in the time.”

Werneke on Richardson: “Sarah is a versatile player and has the ability to play on both pins and go off one foot. She is kind of a unique type of player, a jack of all trades. She does some things that some of our other kids can’t and I feel that she is going to be able to contribute in some form throughout the year.”
