Bush Named All-BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Honorable Mention

  • PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers senior volleyball player Shayla Bush (Spokane, WA) was named an honorable mention All-BIG EAST selection at the conference banquet on Nov. 21. It is the fourth consecutive year she has garnered All-BIG EAST honors.

    On the final BIG EAST Conference leaderboard, Bush finished the season seventh in kills (3.90) and third in service aces (0.42). She led Rutgers in kills, service aces and digs (3.20 per game) this season and finished her career as the all-time leader in digs (1,344).

    Bush was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team in 2000, the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2001 and the All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2002.
    The Scarlet Knights finished the season 11-17 overall and 5-7 in the BIG EAST, winning their last two matches of the season.
