Rutgers Wraps Up Competition at Penn Relays

  • On the men’s side, Anthony Butler (Pittsgrove, NJ) tied for seventh in the high jump competition with 6’ 9 ½”. Sam Segond (East Stroudsberg, PA) placed eighth in the championship shot put competition (53’8 ¼) and in the championship discus event (171’ 7”). Emmanuel Ayvas (Wood-Ridge, NJ) tied for 13th in the pole vault with a throw of 14’ 7 ¼”.

    Marquis Allen (Mays Landing, NJ) placed seventh in the long jump with a jump of 23’ 2” and the 4x800 relay team placed ninth with a time of 7:30.33. In the javelin competition, Brian Lee (Mt. Laurel, NJ) had a throw of 204’ 2” to earn sixth place and Chris Francisco (Bloomfield, NJ) placed 11th with a throw of 197’.

    The men’s and women’s teams will travel to Storrs, CT, to compete in the BIG EAST Championships, Friday through Sunday, May 2-4.
