WILLIAMSBURG, VA - The Rutgers men’s track and field team finished the final day of competition in the Colonial Relays, hosted by William and Mary, in ninth place with 35 points.
Penn State won the meet with 192 points, William and Mary placed second (106 points), Seton Hall placed third (80), St. Francis had 66 points for fourth and Bucknell finished out the top five with 63 points.
In the second day of competition, Sam Segond (East Stroudsberg, PA) led the individual results, winning the discus event with a throw of 54.71 meters.
The relay teams also ran on the final day of the Colonial Relays, with the 4x800-meter relay team placing seventh in a time of 7:42.89 and the distance medley team placing 11th in 10:36.06.
The Scarlet Knights will next travel to Annapolis, MD to compete in the Navy Invitational on April 11.
