WEST HAVEN, CT – The Rutgers University men’s track and field team placed second out of 73 teams, for its best-ever finish in the IC4A Championships hosted by Yale University.
The United States Military Academy finished first with 50 points, followed by Rutgers (48.75), George Mason (48), and Georgetown (43) while Seton Hall and Rhode Island tied for fifth place with 39 points each.
The Rutgers 4x100 relay team of David Klics (Lincoln Park, NJ), Marcel Coleman (Harrisburg, PA), Robert Waters (Bellmawr, NJ) and Joe Porter (Franklin, NJ) finished first with a time of 40.60.
Trevor O’Grady (Wood Ridge, NJ) tied for second place in the decathlon with seven points while Gregory Ostrowicki (Howell, NJ) was fifth with five points.
Sam Segond (East Stroudsburg, PA) placed third in the shot put (57-08.50) and discus (175-11). Christian Francisco (Bloomfield, NJ) was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 207-08.
