WILLIAMSBURG, Va.  (April 6, 2014) – The Rutgers men’s outdoor track and field team took second at the 2014 Colonial Relays notching nine IC4A qualifying marks,  including first place performances by the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams, freshman Jermaine Griffith (Hamilton, N.J.) winning the 400m and senior Chris Wyckoff (Toms River, N.J.) taking home the pole vault title.

Bucknell took the Colonial Relay title with 101.20 points followed by the Scarlet Knights with 87.20 points.  Virginia Tech placed third collecting 74 points.

The 4x100 relay team, consisting of Griffith, sophomore Rajee Dunbar (Arlington, Va.), junior D’Andre Jordan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and redshirt junior Corey Crawford (Oakland, N.J.) posted RU’s top time in the event thus far this season. The team took first with a time of 41.56, beating out second place Pierce Track Club Elite by .03 seconds

Same the quartet also gave RU a second title in the 4x400. Again, the squad raced to the best time of the outdoor season, posting a time of 3:12.18.
