NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 2, 2013) – The Rutgers men’s indoor track & field team was back in action this weekend at the New Balance Invitational, which fielded 10 top 25 men’s squads.
Junior Corey Crawford (Oakland, N.J.) took third in the long jump at 7.61m (BIG EAST & IC4A Qualifier). His jump was not only the top distance in the BIG EAST thus far, but currently ranks ninth nationally.
Senior Kevin Bostick (Englewood, N.J.), the reigning BIG EAST Field Performer of the Week, placed eighth in triple jump going the distance of 14.83m (BIG EAST & IC4A Qualifier).
Sophomore D’Andre Jordan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) just missed out on qualifying for the finals of the 400m. Jordan took seventh, with the top five from the prelims advancing, racing to a time of 48.84 (BIG EAST & IC4A Qualifier).
In the 500m, freshman Calvin Knox (Oakland, N.J.) crossed the finish line in ninth place logging a time of 1:05.71.
