PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 22, 2012) – The Rutgers men’s track and field team split its squad, competing at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va. on the campus of William & Mary and at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University.
On the men’s side, Aaron Younger (Franklinville, N.J.) was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 53.00. D’Andre Jordan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed 10th in the 400-meter dash, with a time of 48.22. Ben Forrest (Jackson, N.J.) also took 10th in the 800-meter, running a time of 1:53.79. Christopher DeFabio (Millington, N.J.) and Steve Burkholder (Marlton, N.J.) ran the 1,500-meter, posting times of 3:57.27 and 3:57.34 to finish 13th and 15th, respectively.
For the women’s team, Gabrielle Farquharson (Williamstown, N.J.) was sixth in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 24.77. Victoria Pontecorvo (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished 12th in the 1,500-meter with a time of 4:42.33. Victoria Clark (Camden, N.J.) competed in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 1:02.50 to finish 14th.
Rutgers will return to action on Friday, April 27, at the Penn Relays.
