Rutgers’ Younger Earns All-American Status At 2011 NCAA Championships
Senior competed in the 400-meter hurdles in his second appearance at national meet

    DES MOINES, Iowa (June 9, 2011) – Rutgers senior sprinter Aaron Younger (Franklinville, N.J.) was named Honorable Mention All-American at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

    For Younger, it was his second-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships after qualifying last season in both the 400-meter hurdles and with the 4x400-meter relay team. A BIG EAST Champion and IC4A qualifier, Younger clocked a time of 53.13 in Wednesday nights’ semifinal race which featured a field of the top 24 competitors in the nation.

    Junior Adam Bergo (Plainfield, N.J.), who qualified for the finals of the high jump, will compete on Friday at 6:45 p.m. (7:45 ET).
