February-14-04 RU Track and Field Competes at Armory Invitational
NEW YORK, NY - In the last warm-up before the BIG EAST Championship, the Rutgers men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the New Balance Armory Invitational at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York City.

February-08-04 RU Men's Track Captures Second at Met Championships
BRONX, NY - The Rutgers men’s track and field team took second at the 62nd Metropolitan Championship which took place at the New York Armory in the Bronx on Sunday, Feb. 8. The Scarlet Knights finished with 133.5 points, 9.5 points behind Manhattan. Seton Hall and Columbia finished in a tie for third.

January-31-04 RU Men's Track Competes at Columbia Invitational
BRONX, NY - In anticipation of next week’s Metropolitan Championships, and because most of the team has already qualified for postseason competition, the Rutgers men’s track and field team took only a small number of competitors to the Columbia Invitational at the New York Armory on Saturday, Jan. 31. Nonetheless, the team was able to record a number of excellent finishes.

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers track and field throwing coach Tony Naclerio will be honored with the Shore Athletic Club of New Jersey’s Wisner Brothers Memorial Award for Distinguished Service to the Sport of Track and Field at its annual banquet on Friday, Jan. 30, at 7:00 p.m.

January-24-04 Women's Track Captures First at Princeton Relays, Men Ninth
PRINCETON, NJ - Using a balanced effort, the Rutgers women’s track and field team finished first in the nine-team field at the Princeton Relays on Jan. 24, while the men’s team, which sent only a few competitors, finished ninth.

January-17-04 Men Finish Third, Women Take 12th at US Coaches Association Track Meet
STATE COLLEGE, PA – Led by first-place finishes from Anthony Butler (Pittsgove, NJ) in the high jump and Rowan Clarke (Teaneck, NJ) in the triple jump, the men's indoor track and field team claimed third place at the 15-team US Coaches Association Track Meet, held today at Penn State University. The women, meanwhile, finished 12th.

January-09-04 RU Men's Track Wins Fordham Invitational
BRONX, NY - The Rutgers men’s indoor track and field team registered eight first-place finishes on its way to a convincing victory at the Fordham Invitational in the Bronx on Friday, Jan. 9. The Scarlet Knights checked in with 165 points, 66 more than their next nearest competitor (Manhattan-99).

December-08-03 Rutgers Track and Field Competes at New Year's Invitational
PRINCETON, NJ - Despite the inclement weather, the Rutgers men’s and women’s track and field teams were able to travel to Princeton, NJ, to open up the indoor season at the New Year’s Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 7. Both teams had a number of champions and several individuals qualify for postseason competition.

July-14-03 Westman Selected for 2003 Pan American Junior Championships
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Rutgers freshman sprinter Ryan Westman (Bala Cynwyd, PA) has been selected to attend the 2003 Pan American Junior Championships as part of the USA team. Eighty-eight track and field athletes will represent Team USA at the championships, held in Bridgetown, Barbados July 18-20.

June-23-03 Westman Places Fourth at USATF Junior Championships
PALO ALTO, CA - Freshman sprinter Ryan Westman (Bala Cynwyd, PA) placed fourth in the 400-meter dash at the 2003 Junior USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Palo Alto, CA, June 19-22.
