January-23-05 Rutgers Track and Field Competes at Princeton Relays
PRINCETON, NJ – The Rutgers women’s and men’s track and field teams complete competition at the Princeton Relays on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Scarlet Knight women finished just behind Princeton (153) with 138 points and Morgan State took third with 125. For the men, RU finished in fourth place with 60 points, while Princeton won the event with 215 points, Monmouth took second (112.50) and Morgan State finished third (104.50).

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – The Rutgers men’s and women’s track and field teams completed competition at Penn State Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 15 in University Park, PA. Nine collegiate teams participated in the non-scoring event.

BRONX, NY – The Rutgers men’s indoor track and field team secured five first-place finishes on its way to a decisive victory at the Fordham Invitational on Friday, Jan. 7. The Scarlet Knights led the team scoring with 126 points, followed by Rider with 102.5 and Manhattan College in third (90.5). RU was one of 15 teams to compete.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers University junior Sam Segond (East Stroundsburg, PA), the ninth-ranked discus thrower in the nation, was awarded an at-large berth in the 2004 NCAA Track and Field Championships June 9-12 in Austin, TX.

May-30-04 Butler, Marshall Qualify for NCAA Track and Field Championships
GAINSEVILLE, FL – Rutgers University junior Anthony Butler (Pittsgrove, NJ) was the headliner for the men’s track and field team at the NCAA Regionals by winning the high jump championship at 2.16 meters (7-1), while Shameka Marshall (Mizpah, NJ) was the headliner for the RU women’s team, qualifying for the NCAA Championships with a leap of 6.30 meters (20-8) to finish in fifth place in the long jump.

GAINESVILLE, FL - Rutgers University junior Anthony Butler (Pittsgrove, NJ), a graduate of Schalick High School, won the high jump championship during the first day of competition at the NCAA Regionals at the University of Florida.
