PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 27, 2014) – The Rutgers tennis team hosted the 27th annual Tennis Party on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The party raised $15,000 that will fund the team’s spring break trip, which will take place in New Orleans, La., this season.
"What a great night for Rutgers Tennis,” said head coach Ben Bucca, Jr. “We had great community support for this event. The evening was an inspiration for everyone on the team as well as a lot of fun for all involved. My heartfelt thanks to all involved for making this year's tennis party a smashing success!"
The program thanks all who attended and supported the program, especially Chris Paladino of the New Brunswick Development Corporation, as well as Alan Syzdek and Leslie Levy who made special donations to the party.
Over 95 percent of the attendees who originally signed up attended, despite inclement weather, for a total number of 75 guests. The night included doubles play, merchandise sales, socializing in the lounge, and more.
Rutgers begins the 2014 season on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Lehigh.
