PRINCETON, NJ – Alina Balasa (East Brunswick, NJ) and Helen Megomedova (Brooklyn, NY) each claimed a singles title and teamed up for a doubles victory for Rutgers as it competed at the Princeton Invitational Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28.

ITHACA, NY – The tandem of Alina Balasa (East Brunswick, NJ) and Lauren Edelstein (Medford Lakes, NJ) won the Flight B doubles consolation title for Rutgers at the season-opening Cornell Invitational. Balasa and Edelstein defeated Ashley Donahue and Lindsey Murasko-Blank, 8-1, in the final match.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – First-year Rutgers women’s tennis head coach Ben Bucca has been appointed to serve as a member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Legislative Issues Committee. ITA, the governing body of collegiate tennis, works closely with the NCAA on several issues dealing with tennis in all its divisions.
