WEST POINT, NY – Sophomore Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, MA) became the first female tennis player from Rutgers to advance to the Round of 32 at the ITA Eastern Regionals, highlighting Rutgers’ performance at the annual ITA East Regionals, held Oct. 21-25 in West Point, NY.

October-10-05 Women’s Tennis Continues Community Service Efforts
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers women’s tennis team has engaged in a pair of unique community service projects this fall. In addition to donating tennis balls to the New Jersey Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Rutgers is also involved with a program to teach tennis through a low-level competitive league called rallyball.

ITHACA, NY – Freshman Dana Gordon (Atlantic City, NJ) made her collegiate debut an impressive one, claiming the Flight C singles title at the season-opening Cornell Invitational this weekend. In addition, Gordon also teamed with Alina Balasa (East Brunswick, NJ) to claim the Flight B doubles title.

July-23-05 Women’s Tennis Team Achieves ITA All-Academic Status
PISCATAWAY, NJ – For the first time in program history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has honored the Rutgers University women’s tennis team as one of 83 All-Academic teams.
