SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Rutgers University women’s tennis team received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors by maintaining a team GPA of 3.2 or greater during the 2008 season. Additionally, four Scarlet Knights received individual honors, having a 3.5 GPA or better.

SKILLMAN, N.J. – Senior Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, Mass.) was honored with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Regional Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship, the ITA announced Monday. The Ashe Award goes to a player who has exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements.

Elder-Bush, who posted a 2-1 singles mark and went 1-1 in doubles action, is the first Scarlet Knight to be named to the All-Tournament Team in the last five years.
