Rutgers Competes Against FDU in Scrimmage |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's tennis team saw its first action of the year Wednesday, playing Fairleigh Dickinson University in a scrimmage with no team scoring. The Scarlet Knights were able to get many of their new players some valuable playing time in the round robin doubles and singles format. |

| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers head women's tennis coach Ben Bucca has announced the squad's 2008 fall schedule, which includes one home match and three tournaments. Rutgers Women’s Tennis Receives ITA Academic Honors |
| SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Rutgers University women’s tennis team received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors by maintaining a team GPA of 3.2 or greater during the 2008 season. Additionally, four Scarlet Knights received individual honors, having a 3.5 GPA or better. |

Elder-Bush Wins ITA East Regional Arthur Ashe Award |
| SKILLMAN, N.J. – Senior Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, Mass.) was honored with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Regional Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship, the ITA announced Monday. The Ashe Award goes to a player who has exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements.

Spring 2008 Season Review |
| The 2008 season was one of success and accomplishment for the Rutgers women's tennis team. The squad achieved a 14-10 overall record for the second time in three years, posted a 7-4 mark in BIG EAST play and put forth an impressive showing at the league championships. |

Rutgers Women’s Tennis Recognized By NCAA for Excellence in Academics |
| INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Rutgers University women's tennis team is one of 712 Division I sports teams that the NCAA is honoring with public recognition awards in their latest multi-year Academic Progress Rate scores. The women's tennis team, along with football and men's cross country, was one of three sports at Rutgers University to earn a top 10 percent APR honor. |

Elder-Bush Named to BIG EAST All-Tournament Team |
| PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rutgers senior Katrina Elder-Bush (Boston, Mass.) was named to the 2008 BIG EAST Women's Tennis All-Tournament Team, the league announced today. Elder-Bush, who posted a 2-1 singles mark and went 1-1 in doubles action, is the first Scarlet Knight to be named to the All-Tournament Team in the last five years. |
