PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 23, 2009) – The Rutgers swimming and diving team will host the Sonny Werblin Invite this Friday and Saturday at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. Competition begins at 4:15 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
A warm-up contest for dual-meet competition, nine teams will compete against the Scarlet Knights, including three collegiate teams: Central Connecticut State University, Sacred Heart University and Southern Connecticut State University.
Four swimming events, as well the three meter women’s diving, will take place Friday night. Saturday will consist of 13 swimming events, as well as women’s one meter diving.
This will be the final preseason meet before the squad travels to Storrs, Conn. on Oct. 30 for a BIG EAST match-up against UConn and Villanova.
