AUSTIN, TX – Rutgers junior Matt Campbell (Haddonfield, NJ) represented Rutgers on Saturday at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, TX.
Campbell swam the 100-yard freestyle event in 44.87 during the morning’s preliminary session to place 48th overall in the competition. He set the Rutgers school record earlier this season with a time of 44.44 at the BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 22.
He also competed in the 50-yard freestyle event in the opening day of the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, placing 35th with a time of 20.21.
The NCAA Championships was the final event in 2002-03 for the men’s swimming diving team.
