AUSTIN, TX - Rutgers junior Matt Campbell (Haddonfield, NJ) represented Rutgers on Thursday at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, TX.
Campbell swam the 50-yard freestyle event in 20.21 during the morning’s preliminary session to place 35th overall in the competition. Earlier in the season, he broke the school and BIG EAST record in the event with a time of 19.79.
Campbell will also compete in the 100-yard freestyle event on Saturday, March
29. He is the school record-holder in the event after registering a time of
44.44 at the 2003 BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 22.
