PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers junior Matt Campbell (Haddonfield, NJ) will compete at the 2003 NCAA Men’s Swimming Championships this Thursday-Saturday, March 27-29, at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, TX.
Campbell will compete in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events during the three-day championships. He will participate in the 50-yard event during Thursday’s opening day and the 100-yard version on Saturday.
Campbell set new Rutgers school records in both events at the BIG EAST Championships, swimming the 100-yard event in 44.44, while breaking the BIG EAST record in the 50-yard event with a time of 19.79.
The men’s swimming and diving team completed its regular season 5-3 with a 4-0 record in the BIG EAST.
