Campbell Competes in Final Two Events at NCAA Swimming Championships

  • EAST MEADOW, NY - Senior Matt Campbell (Haddonfield, NJ) finished competition today, March 27, at the NCAA 2004 Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Long Island Aquatic Club in East Meadow, NY.

    Campbell took 34th in this morning’s 100-meter freestyle preliminaries with a time of 49.73. On Friday, March 25, he finished 29th (22.37) in the preliminaries of the 50-meter freestyle. The top 16 swimmers in each event qualify for the finals.
    While Campbell’s outstanding collegiate career at Rutgers has come to an end, he will continue competition at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials in Long Beach, CA, July 7-14 in the 50 free.
