PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 8, 2014) –Senior Greta Leberfinger (Chatham, N.J.), junior Morgan Pfaff (Red Lion, Pa.) and junior Joanna Wu (Kent, Wash.) are representing Rutgers at the 2014 Phillips 66 Swimming and Diving National Championships, which is taking place in Irvine, California at the William Woollett, Jr. Aquatics Complex from Aug. 6 -10.
The Scarlet Knights will make an appearance in a total of eight events. Leberfinger will compete in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Pfaff will take part in the 200 IM, 200 IM and 200 fly events. Wu will swim in the 50, 100 and 200 backstroke.
Pfaff started off the five-day meet for RU, having already competed in the 200 fly on Aug. 6. The junior recorded a time of 2:18.67 in the event.
Leberfinger kicked off day two, competing in the 200 breast. The senior registered a time of 2:32.21, good enough for 23rd place.
Wu made her first appearance in the 200 back, posting a time of 2:23.13.
The Scarlet Knights are set to compete in the rest of their respective events within the final three days of competition.
