INDIANAPOLIS (March 16, 2013) Rutgers junior Nicole Scott (Toronto, Canada) took silver in the platform event at the Zone A Diving Championships in Christiansburg, Va., and gained an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Championships.
“We had a successful weekend with both Nicole Scott and sophomore Nicole Honey (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) finaling on the three meter, and Scott finaling on the one meter before capturing second place on platform and qualifying for the NCAAs,” said head diving coach Fred Woodruff. “Scott was consistent over both lists and broke her own school record in the finals with a 280.35. We trained hard for this since September and it all paid off. I am so proud of her and her mental toughness.”
