PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 22, 2013) – The Rutgers swimming and diving team freshman Joanna Wu (Kent, Wash.) was named BIG EAST Athlete of the Week in women’s swimming and diving as announced by the conference office Tuesday.
“This is a great honor for Joanna and our program as a whole,” said head coach Phil Spiniello. “I am very happy for Joanna. She is a dedicated and hardworking young athlete with a bright future as a Scarlet Knight.”
Over the weekend, Wu led the Scarlet Knights with three top individual finishes as RU downed Richmond (164-135) and Central Connecticut State (219-80) at RU Aquatic Center on Friday.
