PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 24, 2012) – The Rutgers swimming and diving team has been honored with the Scholar All America Team Award for the fall 2011 semester, with a 3.21 grade point average, as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. RU is one of over 500 college and university teams to receive the honor.
“I am proud of our team for this accomplishment,” head coach Phil Spiniello said. “It represents our dedication as an athletic department to being great student-athletes.”
The award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is present to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
