PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 9, 2012) – Rutgers diving travels to Trees Pool on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh for the BIG EAST Diving Championships this weekend, Feb. 10-12. The Scarlet Knights will send four divers to compete who have enjoyed great success throughout the regular season.
The event will be streamed live via BIGEAST.TV at http://bigeast.org/BIGEASTTV/LiveEventsSchedule1.aspx.
The championship begins Friday at noon with the three-meter dive preliminaries, followed by the three-meter finals at 6 p.m. Saturday’s action will commence with the one-meter board preliminaries at noon and the finals at 7 p.m. The Platform Exhibition will conclude the weekend’s competition, taking place on Sunday at noon.
Last season, senior captain Jen Betz earned bronze, posting a score of 316.40 in the three-meter event, while current senior Katie Kearney (Mahwah, N.J.) finished sixth out of 34 divers in the one-meter event, tallying a score of 257.25 in the finals.
The swim team will follow the divers at the BIG EAST Championship Feb. 15-18.
