James Petrucci, MD
James Petrucci is one of the Sports Medicine fellows from Jersey Shore University Medical Center for the 2008-2009 academic year. Jim is a native of Ramsey NJ and alumni of Rutgers University. He graduated with honors and received a BS in Biology with a minor in Nutrition. Dr. Petrucci attended medical school in Pennsylvania at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his Pediatric Residency at the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He enjoys playing jazz piano, playing tennis, and spending time with his family, girlfriend, and friends.
Ruchi Mehta, MD
Ruchi Mehta is one of the Sports Medicine fellows from Jersey Shore University Medical Center for the 2008-09 academic year. Ruchi is originally from Seattle, Washington. She completed high school at Ingraham High where she was student manager of the basketball and football teams. She graduated from University of Washington with a honors degree in Geography, Epidemiology. Dr. Mehta attended Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in June of 2008 and is looking forward to being part of Rutgers. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis with her husband, Nirmal, teaching dance, and being a new mom to her beautiful baby girl, Maya.
