Huang Wins Junior Olympic National Beam Title

Huang is set to join the Scarlet Knights this fall

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Set to join the Rutgers gymnastics team this fall, incoming freshman Belle Huang took first place on balance beam at the 2017 Junior Olympic Nationals recently held in Indianapolis. She also placed sixth all-around at the competition.

Competing for EGS Gymnastics, Huang earned a 9.600 on balance to take the gold. She also picked up a 9.575 on floor exercise, a 9.550 on vault and a 9.525 on uneven bars to total a 38.250.

Huang is from Frederick, Maryland and is set to graduate from Tuscarora High School.

“Belle is a very powerful gymnast with a lot of skills to choose from to be able to put together high-scoring NCAA routines,” head coach Louis Levine said upon the official NLI signing last November.
