PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Competing in its third outing in as many weekend, Rutgers men’s golf participates in the 2017 Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State, Saturday and Sunday in Columbus. The three-round tournament will be played on the par 71, 7,455 yard Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club.
Along with the Scarlet Knights and Buckeyes, the 15-team field features Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois and Penn State.
Indiana and Nebraska are paired with RU in the first round, which begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live results for the weekend can be found here.
In its last time out, Rutgers finished ninth after the final round of the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State, last weekend at the Blue Course in State College. Freshman Tony Jiang tied for 17th to lead the Scarlet Knights, as he carded a three-over-par 74 in the final round (221: 75-72-74). Jiang finished the invitational with 36 birdies.
RU closes out the 2017 spring season when it competes in the Big Ten Championships April 28-30 in Baltimore.
