PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers and Liberty have agreed to a game in 2019 at High Point Solutions Stadium, it was announced today. The two schools will meet for the first time on the gridiron.
The Scarlet Knights will host the Flames on Oct. 26, 2019. The RU game originally scheduled for that date at Michigan has been moved to Sept. 28. Liberty is the second non-conference contest booked for the 2019 season, joining the previously announced home game against Boston College (Sept. 21).
Liberty will compete in a full FBS schedule starting in the 2018 season. Following NCAA approval to reclassify, Liberty will begin the process starting in the 2017-18 academic year and will compete as an independent starting in 2018 which includes hosting three FBS home games.
