Football Season Ticket Renewals and New Sales Jan. 9

Jan. 6, 2017

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football fans will have their first opportunity to purchase the 2017 season ticket package when renewals and new sales begin on Monday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. Season ticket and parking pass per-game pricing in 2017 has remained unchanged from the previous two seasons.

To purchase or renew tickets, fans should call the ticket office at 866-445-GORU or click the following link.

For the first time, Rutgers will offer its Instant Seat Upgrade program which gives fans the chance to upgrade their seats at any time during the renewal season, given they meet the priority point and donation minimums in that section and inventory is available.

The Scarlet Knights, in their second season under the direction of head coach Chris Ash, will open the home schedule with three-straight games at High Point Solutions Stadium. RU begins the 2017 campaign on Sept. 1 against Washington, followed by home games against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 9), Morgan State (Sept. 16). In addition, RU will host Ohio State (Sept. 30), Purdue (Oct. 21) and Michigan State (Nov. 25).

On Nov. 4 Rutgers and the New York Yankees will partner to host the first-ever football and wrestling doubleheader at iconic Yankee Stadium as the Scarlet Knights face Maryland in the “Big Ten Battle in the Bronx.” The day will feature a morning wrestling match vs. the Terps followed by an afternoon football game.

The “Big Ten Battle in the Bronx” event is part of the season ticket package. Football season ticket holders will be able to purchase seats of their choice at Yankee Stadium online or over the phone with a Rutgers Account Executive. Seats range from $40-$65 and each ticket grants admission to both the wrestling match and football game

Season ticket holders can enter the billing plan by Feb. 28. The deadline to pay any remaining balances and increase priority points is April 30. With the billing plan fans have the option to pay the Rutgers Scholarship Fund Gift portion up front and 50 percent of the tickets, parking and knight cushion where it applies or just 50 percent of the tickets and pay the entire gift by April 30.

The priority point qualifications for Purchase Now Parking is 20% higher than last year’s priority point totals. Purchase Now Parking will be available beginning Jan. 9 and fans interested in taking advantage of the new program must adhere to the below priority point and donation minimums.
