PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers softball player Mallory Miller (Moreno Valley, Calif.) was named to the University of North Carolina All-Tournament team the event staff announced today.
The junior tallied five hits on the weekend, leading the Scarlet Knights to a 2-3 record.
In a 6-0 win over Fairfield, Miller had two hits, including her second RBI of the season, and a season-high four RBI. She also had a double in the game. She finished the weekend with a double, home run and five RBI, as well as scoring two runs for the Scarlet Knights.
For the season, Miller has a .304 average with 14 hits. She leads the Scarlet Knights with two home runs and has four doubles. With nine RBI, she's currently second on the team.
Rutgers, now 4-10 on the year, will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday, March 10, for a non-conference match-up with Drexel University. Game time is slated for 11:00 a.m.
