Prior to Rutgers: A four-year softball letterwinner at Brookfield HS, winning the SWC in 2011... finished as runner-up in the 2012 SWC … in her sophomore year, helped her team win the conference title … led the team in on-base percentage and batting average that year, earning all-conference honors and Brookfield HS Offensive Player of the Year honors … in her junior year, led the team in RBIs and maintained a .464 batting average … named All-Patriot League in her freshman and junior year (2010 and 2012) … named all-state in sophomore and senior year (2011 and 2013) … named team captain her senior year, holding a .500 batting average … maintained high honors throughout high school, earning all-conference academic honors in her sophomore year … recipient of the Robert Brown Leadership Award her senior year … member of the Wicked Softball club in Newton, Conn., from 2008 to present … led the Wicked in hits, home runs and RBIs in 2011.
Personal Info: Daughter of Chris and Denise … has two brothers, Chris and Jon … also has two cousins who attended Rutgers ... intends on majoring in biology … born June 5, 1995.
What is your favorite part of being on this team?
“I like to hang out with my teammates, go to the dining hall with them and just be a part of a team.”
Was there an adjustment to coming to such a big school?
“Yea, for sure. I went to a really small high school where everybody knew everybody. It was really different and hard finding my way around here at first.”
Who is your favorite softball player?
What are your hobbies when you’re not playing softball?
“In the winter I like to snowboard and in the summer I like to go boating and jet skiing. I’ve been snowboarding since sixth grade.”
What is your favorite part of campus?
“I have to say it – The Livingston Dining Hall. I also like going to Brower for ice cream.”
What is your best softball memory?
“In high school when we won SWC’s – the conference championship.”
