BOCA RATON, FL - Junior Nicole Freeman (Sandy, UT) pitched effectively in six innings of action, as the Rutgers softball team (2-12) topped Bethune-Cookman by a score of 3-2 in its final game at the FAU Worth Classic on Sunday, March 12.

March-11-06 Madoch Propels RU Softball to a Split on Day Two of the FAU Worth Classic
BOCA RATON, FL - Junior Kristin Madoch (Glenview, IL) went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI, helping to lift the Rutgers softball team (1-12) past Campbell 5-4 in the first game of the day at the FAU Worth Classic. The Scarlet Knights also faced Bowling Green in the second match-up of the afternoon, falling by a score of 3-0.

The Scarlet Knights fell to Western Carolina 11-3 in game one, Northern Colorado by a score of 6-4 and was eliminated from tournament play in the first round by Furman with a final score of 6-1.
