College Sports Madness Selects Two to AAC All-Conference Team
Filigno, Scholz highlight Rutgers selections

  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Nov. 4 2013) – College Sports Madness has selected redshirt senior Jonelle Filigno (Mississauga, Canada) and junior Stef Scholz (South Hackensack, N.J.) to its American Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team.

    The forwards lead the Scarlet Knights in scoring this season, as Scholz owns 10 goals and an assist for 21 points and Filigno has recorded eight goals and three assists for 19 points. Filigno notched the first goal in the Scarlet Knights’ 2-1 2OT thriller against Cincinnati in the American Athletic Conference Quarterfinals Sunday afternoon at Yurcak Field.

    RU returns to action on Friday, Nov. 8 for the American Athletic Conference Semifinals, hosted by UCF in Orlando, Fla. The Scarlet Knights will take on Memphis at 7:30 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex.
