  • PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers junior Carli Lloyd (Delran, NJ) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Women’s Soccer All-America Third Team.

Lloyd, a midfielder, earned her second All-America honor from the NSCAA, garnering third-team honors as a freshman in 2001. She led RU with 28 points (13 G, 2 A) this fall, earning first-team all-BIG EAST Conference honors for the third consecutive year and receiving a spot on the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region All-First Team.

Lloyd is the second Scarlet Knight to ever be named a two-time All-American by the NSCAA, following in the footsteps of Beth Schimenti (1986 third team, 1987 second team).

The Rutgers women’s soccer team (10-7-5, 3-2-1 BIG EAST) advanced to the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament and the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
