  • JAMAICA, NY – The Rutgers women’s soccer team (7-6-2, 3-2-1 BIG EAST) lost 1-0 at St. John’s (7-4-3, 2-3 BIG EAST) in a BIG EAST Conference cross-divisional match at Belson Stadium Oct. 15.

    The Red Storm scored the lone goal when Dominica Reina took Erin Henderson’s pass in the middle of the box and looped the ball over RU goalkeeper Christine Caldwell’s (Wyckoff, NJ) head, scoring from eight yards out in the 17th minute.

    Caldwell made five saves in the loss (6-6-2).

    Rutgers was rated ninth by Soccerbuzz and 10th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in the Mid-Atlantic Region this week (Oct. 14).

    Rutgers will complete cross-divisional play when the Knights host Miami Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:00 p.m.
