Every MLS general manager and members of each of the 10 coaching staffs will be in attendance to scout talent at the event leading up to the 2003 SuperDraft, which will be held on Friday, January 17 at the Kansas City Convention Center (3:30 – 7:30 ET) in Kansas City, Missouri." />

  • PISCATAWAY, NJ – Seniors Guy Abrahamson (Livingston, NJ) and Sherif El Bialy (Cairo, Egypt) of the Rutgers men’s soccer team have earned invitations to the 2003 adidas MLS Player Combine from Sunday, January 12 through Thursday, January 14 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Every MLS general manager and members of each of the 10 coaching staffs will be in attendance to scout talent at the event leading up to the 2003 SuperDraft, which will be held on Friday, January 17 at the Kansas City Convention Center (3:30 – 7:30 ET) in Kansas City, Missouri.

    More than 40 invitees will be divided into three squads and join the U.S. Under-20 National Team in the three-day, four-team round-robin tournament. The field of players was determined by a select panel of Division I college coaches in conjunction with representatives of MLS coaches. Abrahamson and El Bialy will both compete for the East squad.

    Abrahamson and El Bialy were both first team All-Region selections, as well as second team All-BIG EAST picks. Abrahamson was also a Third Team NSCAA All-American, his second-consecutive All-America award.
