Sa Named Preseason Second Team All-Big Ten By College Sports Madness
Sophomore Scarlet Knight Among 11 Returning Letterwinners Leading RU into Inaugural B1G Season

  • PISCATAWAY, N.J.  (August 13, 2014) – Sophomore Erik Sa (Watchung, N.J.) was named to the Second Team Preseason All-Big Ten Team by College Sports Madness, it was announced on Wednesday.

    Sa is among the 11 Scarlet Knight letterwinners returning to the pitch for Rutgers’ inaugural Big Ten campaign.

    Last season, Sa appeared in and started all 20 games in his first season “On The Banks” and was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team. He collected four points in his rookie season, including an assist against No. 5 Akron and a helper on the game-winning goal against top-seeded and seventh-ranked Louisville in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals. Sa also registered the game-winner at No. 15 Memphis for which he was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
