PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 30, 2013) – Rutgers men’s soccer will hold the Third Annual College ID Camp on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. The camp is open to boys ages 14-18 years old and geared at preparing players for collegiate level soccer.
Two sessions will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., while the Sunday session will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The cost of the camp is $150. Registration is now open and space is limited.
The camp is a great opportunity for an aspiring student-athlete to get an up-close look at what it takes to play soccer at the collegiate level. All campers will participate in three on-field training sessions as well as a college discussion with some of the region's top college coaches. The main focus of the College ID camp is for players to showcase their talents and gain knowledge of the landscape of college soccer.
College coaches from various levels (Divisions I, II, III, and Junior College) will be present at each training session and campers are encouraged to invite any coaches they have been in contact with.
The camp will be held in the Rutgers Indoor Bubble, which is the nation’s largest air-supported indoor structure and features a FieldTurf surface.
On the field, campers will experience competitive games and realistic college training sessions ran by members of the Rutgers men's soccer coaching staff. Off of the field, campers will attend a college discussion that will cover the topics of recruiting, student-athlete life and academics.
