PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 12, 2012) – Rutgers head men’s soccer coach Dan Donigan announced the addition of a 10-member recruiting class, featuring scholastic standouts from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Georgia. Coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in last year’s NCAA Tournament, the group is the second class under Donigan, who is entering his third season ‘On the Banks.’
“We’re excited about this class,” said Donigan. “We’re coming off a successful season last year and are losing some key guys. We feel that we’re bringing in players that can contribute immediately, but the reality is that only time will tell what these guys will bring to the program. We’re never done recruiting; we’re always looking to continue to improve our program as well as this incoming class.
“We don’t just want to compete, we want to win on and off the field, and it takes special players to be able to do that. We try creating a great environment that helps to develop our players into professionals in soccer and beyond.”
