Opened in 1994, Yurcak Field is equipped with all of the important touches to create one of college soccer’s most exciting venues.
The 5,000-seat complex includes a professional-quality playing surface, expansive press box, game-day locker rooms for both teams, a full concession stand, permanent restroom facilities, superior field lighting and ample parking which combine to make a visit to the game a memorable one for first-time and long-time fans.
In addition to the Philips/adidas Soccer Classic held in the middle of each season, Yurcak Field hosts the BIG EAST Championship semifinals and finals bi-annually.

Locker Room
The men’s soccer program will begin its first season this fall in a brand new, state-of the-art locker room and theatre complete with all the amenities. The brand new locker room is complete with a spacious shower and lavatory facility. One 42-inch and three 30-inch flat screen televisions evenly spaced throughout the locker room provide a sense of comfort and relaxation following a long day of training or competition. Members can review video before and after each match with the 50-inch flat screen television, equipped with a professional sound system, mounted on the wall in the state-of-the-art, 17-seat theatre adjacent to the locker room. The television also features a satellite dish, allowing the Scarlet Knights access to premiere soccer matches from around the world.

Located just steps away from the locker room, the recently-completed training facility houses a dozen treatment tables, 10 ultrasound machines, eight taping tables and a host of cardiovascular and strength and conditioning equipment. The new training room gives Rutgers athletes every advantage in both rehabilitation and prevention of injuries. Under the direction of Don Kessler, a former trainer with the U.S. National Team, the Scarlet Knights are handled by the best in the business.

The new weight room, situated across the hall from the locker room, is one of the most impressive strength and conditioning facilities in the country. With over 100 machines and free-weight stations, the Scarlet Knights are able to make the most of their time in the weight room, for optimum gain. With state-of-the-art form and video overlay technology, players can instantly critique their own lifting form, and compare it to video of professional weight lifters on the same screen, to maximize performance.

Athletes benefit from the latest desktop computers from Dell, equipped with high-speed internet access at each station. Under the direction of Academic Advisor Randi Larson, the Scarlet Knights get the attention and assistance they need with balancing their competition with their coursework.
