CAREER DEVELOPMENTRU STRONG works in conjunction with Rutgers University Career Services Center (http://careerservices.rutgers.edu/) to offer student-athletes opportunities to advance their professional growth. The Career Services Center provides vehicles and resources in directing students towards their major, developing career plans in addition to providing opportunities for a multitude of internships and full time jobs. Career Services Tools: Career Knight - is an on-campus recruiting system which allows students to post their resumes, search for internships or full time positions, submit resumes to employers, and set up on-campus interviews.https://www.myinterfase.com/rutgers/student/ Career Services Monthly Events - each month Career Services offers workshops to help students sharpen their professional skills and prepare for life after Rutgers. The workshops range from how to prepare a resume, interview tips, to how to dress for interviews, how to plan for graduate school and much more. http://careerservices.rutgers.edu/monthlyprgm.shtml Mock Interviews – in preparation for a job interview, students can sign up to do a mock interview with a career counselor, or can use the Optimal Interview program (https://ru-nbp.optimalresume.com/). The Optimal Interview program allows to practice interviews on line. The sessions can be recorded and reviewed (if the student has a microphone and/or webcam connected to their computer). RU Career Days - employers in a specific field come to campus to meet students entering their field.http://careers1.rutgers.edu/Online_Files/careerdays.asp Alumni Mentors - this service allows students to connect with Rutgers alumni in their field.
