RU Heavyweights Climb to No. 9 in National Poll

  • PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers heavyweights have moved up to ninth in this week’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Men’s Varsity Eight Poll, the Scarlet Knights’ highest ranking since 1999.

    RU improved its position in the poll after its performance at the EARC Sprints May 11, qualifying for the Grand Final for the first time in 22 years. The Knights ended up finishing sixth with a time of 6:31.45. Rutgers will finish the season at the IRA Championships May 29-31.

    The Rutgers lightweights are ranked 14th in this week’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Men’s Lightweight Eight Poll. RU finished its season with a fourth-place finish in the Petite Final of the EARC Sprints May 11.
